Pioneer Learning Center provides a naturalistic learning environment where we use the behavioral principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and evidence based practices such as visual supports, structured work systems, and discrete trial training to teach functional communication, safety awareness, social skills, and daily living skills in the community and home-based settings. Our learning center currently has a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) on campus to conduct, Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), design individualized programs, and implement behavior intervention plans. In addition, the BCBA conducts ongoing staff trainings on evidence-based practices such as reinforcement, prompting procedures, antecedent intervention plans, and consequence intervention plans. Our staff also includes a Board Certified assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) and several tutors who are pursuing their BCBA. For students that receive direct ABA services from private insurance or private pay, they are provided a 1:1 tutor who follows an individualized program tailored to specific goals from their Functional Behavior Assessment. Direct supervision from the BCBA is provided on a weekly basis and parent trainings on a biweekly basis.
Along with center-based sessions, our ABA therapists are also available for in-home therapy sessions.
